Hi have a look at the FAQs especially "I want to save or restore a system image. Why does RPiBoot.exe not connect to my device?"
Re: rpiboot stuck on Waiting for BCM2835/6/7/2711..
Hi does the problem still exist?
Re: rpiboot stuck on Waiting for BCM2835/6/7/2711..
Hi Dirk;
We have the same problem with one of the first units that we bought to make some tests and lend to customers to try it.
With the same PC, I can make a backup copy and write a fresh image with other RevPi (Core 3 and Connect) but with one of them (Core 3), suddenly we can not... Due the CM3 has the EMMC onboard, I don't know how to erase the device complete to restore to default values.
I try it with several PC's without success. There is any chance to restore the device to default and have a fresh image?

Have you tried different USB ports and maybe different cables? I had also a hard time when trying to Backup a revpi connect. Changing cable and using a different port helped. Plus AFAIk there is a newer version of the boot tool available (I don't have the link available right now sorry).

With the same port and same cable, I can connect with one RevPi and with the "bad" one I can not... It seems that something inside has stuck...RR4711 wrote: ↑07 Sep 2020, 16:12 Have you tried different USB ports and maybe different cables? Only thing i could imagine then is that the MicroUSB is worn out/loose/sheared of the PCB. These are the most fragile connectors that possibly have been invented. I'm not sure if the device is still in warranty but if not you may have a look inside and see if the connector and solder joints looks OK
I just had to resolder a micro HDMI which also came lose. Miniaturisation pays it's toll...

Software I got from here:
http://www.embeddedpi.com/documentation/installing-linux-os/mypi-industrial-raspberry-pi-flashing-the-compute-module
They link to the tool. I just tested this on my office PC because I needed to make a quick backup of a revpi connect and it worked at the very first attempt.
Maybe it helps, but of course not if the hardware has been damaged.

Hello everybody, I just wanted to politely ask who has still problems? So those who raise hands I can just offer to start a RMA case.
