Connecting the Power Supply

Power Supply over X4 Connector

The power supply of your RevPi DIO, RevPi DI and RevPi DO over the X4 connector works in the same way as the power supply of the RevPi Core . You can find the respective instructions in the section Connecting the Power Supply.

The power supply unit for RevPi DIO, DI and DO requires only 1.5 W for the connection to the X4 connector plus the power consumption of the actuators connected via the outputs of the RevPi DIO or RevPi DO (max. 12 W per connection), which is supplied via the X2 connector.

Power Supply over X2 Connector

The RevPi DIO, DI and DO modules have an additional connection for the power supply, the X2 connector. As the modules have galvanically isolated inputs and outputs, they can be operated over an independent 12-24 V power supply. If so, the same power supply (more precisely, the same ground potential) should be used that supplies the connected sensors or actuators. This can also be the power supply connected to the X4 connector.
