RevPi ConnectSE unresponsive -- what to test next?

Hi, we have a RevPi ConnectSE, maybe 2ish years old. It has been sitting unused for the last few months, but was working OK before that.

When power is applied, the PWR, REL and WD LEDs light up solid green, however: the Rev Pi does not boot up, there are no link lights on the network ports when connected, there is no signal at all on the HDMI output, and I can't connect with the Raspberry Pi boot app, it hangs waiting for a response. Also it appears no power is supplied to the USB ports.

Any ideas of any other tests I could try, or is this RevPi just broken beyond recovery?

Thanks
Matthew

Hi Matthew, that sounds strange at first, but it's not the end of the road yet. Please try resetting your RevPi Connect SE module to factory settings using the steps in this checklist:

Hi Dirk, thanks for your advice.
I may be misunderstanding something, but don't I need to be able to mount the Rev Pi drive using RPi Boot to complete the steps in the checklist? The Rev Pi will not connect with RPi Boot.

Hi Matthew, please try to connect the RevPi and RPiBoot using the steps in this helpful checklist - USB related problems are often difficult to deal with:

Hi Dirk, I finally managed to do a controlled trial of rpiboot. With a brand new Rev Pi, I was able to connect with rpiboot straight away. Then, immediately using the same host, same rpiboot software, same usb cable and same procedure, I tried to connect to the unresponsive pi, but it could not connect.

Hello Matthew, in my opinion you have qualified for an RMA. Please contact the seller of your module to clarify the warranty claims.
