Using Profinet

Hello,

I want to use RevPi to control Siemens motors. Siemens motors support modbusRTU and profinet. I don't want to use codesys, I plan to use python or C/C++. Is there a demo or API library I can use?

No, there is no open profinet master stack as far as I know. Your best option would be to use CODESYS for this.

I could write my own profinet master stack, but I want to know the profinet APIs and I need to call the underlying variables. I can't write the underlying RevPI myself

What do you mean with underlying variables? There isn't anything profinet related on the RevPi.

It means the profinet or modbus API library, I can write my own protocol stack, but I need to know what data is called in profinet or modbus to help me develop it.

I'm sorry but we can't support you with this as we don't have anything like this on our RevPi.

Maybe you know how to configure the profinet master via python or C/C++?
