Docker on RaspPi besides PLC-Software / Docker neben SPS auf RevPI

hi there,
(Hallo zusammen, Unterhaltung und Deutsch ist kein Problem)
I coming on recommendation from Traeger Industry Components / CoDaBix® - Middleware for Industry 4.0 as their OPC capable middleware can run on Linux as the Raspi is strong enough for my purposes (And I love the Raspi )
I would like to collect significantly more data from our current assets in the field without modifying the current automation system. CoDaBix® seems to be capable of doing this and is available as a docker image.
I found some topics in the forum about running docker containers on the RevPi.
I wondering how that approach interacts / conflicts with the default software or running different OSs but still being able to use PiCtory for integrating other RevPi Modules.
Existing automation systems do not necessarily communicate by means of IP based protocols, what could be solved by using RevPi Gatways but keeping the existing data exchange fully functional is quite challenging.
I created a topic discussing this tapping existing serial connection / bestehende serielle Kommunikation anzapfen - Revolution Pi Forum what goes hand in hand what is discussed here and vice versa.
thank you
Stefan
