Posted: 29 Jun 2020, 14:26
The new Stretch Image 6/2020 is now available for download in our shop:
https://revolution.kunbus.de/shop/en/stretch
Highlights:
* Kernel 4.19 instead of 4.9
* New stretch-backports apt repository for long-term support with up-to-date versions of Node-RED, libmodbus and openssl
* Node-RED with RevPi Nodes is pre-installed
* RevPiModIO for Python development is pre-installed
Please refer to the release notes for details:
https://revolution.kunbus.com/download/3135/
As usual existing systems can be upgraded with "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade". To upgrade from the stretch-backports apt repository, you need to execute this command twice: The first invocation installs the changed "revpi-repo" package and the second invocation installs the packages from the new repository. To install the RevPi Nodes for Node-RED on an existing system, use: "sudo apt-get install node-red-contrib-revpi-nodes noderedrevpinodes-server"
The next image will be based on Buster.
