New BOP data acquisition Project

Post by Min »

Hello,
We currently have new project and we would like to use your system to implement. I am not electric engineer and not familiar your system. but your system would have more functions and more economic. Here is our project profile:
1, we have maximum 12 4-20 mA sensors which 8 are position sensors and 4 are pressure sensors.
2, once collect these data, we need to send out wireless data to home box where it is located 20 meters away from this remote box.
3, from home box, we receive data and use USB cable to transfer data to laptop and graphically display how positions and pressures are changing.
Here is what I am thinking to make sure we purchase right components:
For remote box:
1, one unit RevPi Core3+
2, three unit Rev PI AIO. each unit connect 4 analog sensors. Total is 12 sensors.
3, one unit GateWay master to wireless transfer data to home box.
4, three units Pi Bridge
5, wireless USB and Antenna?

For home box:
1, one unit RevPi Core3+
2, one unit GateWay slave to receive wireless transfer data from remote box

I have couple of questions:
1, Pi Bridge: is it coming with each module or buy separately?
2, On gateway, how we send wireless data from master to slave? Do I need to buy wireless USB and antenna? or it has already built in inside Gateway?
3, Can I use wireless USB and antenna rather than Gateway modules?
3, Do we buy components directly from you?

Hope get answers soon,
thanks,
Min.

Dear Min, here are the answers to your questions
1, Pi Bridge: is it coming with each module or buy separately?
It comes with the modules. Just for RevPi Gates you have to order them separately.
2, On gateway, how we send wireless data from master to slave? Do I need to buy wireless USB and antenna? or it has already built in inside Gateway?
No, there is no wireless included. So your idea is right, just buy a WLAN USB Adapter.
3, Can I use wireless USB and antenna rather than Gateway modules?
What do you mean by Gateway Modules? There are not WiFi Gateway Modules.
3, Do we buy components directly from you?
Have a look at our global distribution network:

The configuration with the four AIO modules for 12 sensors is good.
