Hi
Is there an EtherCat /P Master available?
We are looking at using Revolution Pi , but like to advantage of the power and data capability for lot of use case scenarios.
It will be great if someone can point me in the right direction
Thanks in advance
EtherCat P Master
Hi Dirk,
We are also looking into the Revolution Pi Core as an EtherCat Master but Codesys is unfortunately not an option for us. Instead we were thinking about using a different software implementation called SOEM (http://openethercatsociety.github.io/) for our purposes. How does the Ethernet driver communicate with the CPU on your boards? Is it connected via the USB driver as on the regular Raspberry pi boards?
We took inspiration from this project: http://www.simplerobot.net/2018/06/rpi- ... aster.html . At the same time we like your industrialized version of the Pi hardware and would like to figure out a combination of the two that could give us realtime performance. Do you see this possible in any way?
Best regards,
Bob

Dear Bob, regarding your question how the Ethernet interface is connected just have a look at the schematics that are public available here https://revolution.kunbus.com/tutorials/downloads/
This seams an interesting project. It would be great if you would share your ideas here with the community.
