Hello,
I am new to Revolution Pi. I am looking for the best hardware for my current project right now. I read that the RevPi Connect has a built in hardware watchdog.
I am sorry but I am not really sure what does this means.
For example: when I have a RevPi Gate CANopen and RevPi Connect. Does this means my RevPi Connect will restarts when my CANopen cable is no longer connected to the RevPi Fate CANopen and it no longer receives any data?

Thank you in advance

Hi, could be possible but let me explain it. The hardware watchdog is essential for restarting the RevPi Connect Device in case your application does not behave the way you want it. But you also have a relay output which may forward the reset of the RevPi Connect device to other devices as well. Furthermore you may also use an digital input pin for i.e. a UPS low voltage signal in order to prevent your application from suspicious resets as well. Have a look at this Watchdog tutorial and the Relay tutorial for more information.
