Modbus TCP Slave Limit

How many Modbus TCP slave devices can be polled via a single Modbus Master? Also, is there a limit to the number of commands that can be programmed for each slave?

the number of participants should theoretically be 2^32, because there are so many IPv4 addresses. A maximum of 32 registers per virtual device can be used for input and output data. Should you need more, then you can simply configure several virtual Modbus devices. A total of 30 virtual devices can be configured.
