RevPiLib With CODESYS V3.5 SP16

Post by rossanoparis »

Hi at all.

I'm facing a problem using RevPiLib in CODESYS Software.
The problem is due to several compilation errors related to REVPI_CPI_IN, REVPI_CPI_OUT functions.
The error messages highlite a wrong convertion: Cannot convert type 'POINTER TO BYTE' to type 'CmpCharDevice.RTS_IEC_HANDLE'

Using the previous CODESYS version 3.5 SP15.1 I was able to build and use perfectly my project.
This issue has appeared as I've tried to port my project to the new one CODESYS version

It is necessary to modify the LibPiLib library or am I missing something ?

Dear rossanoparis and domenico.neri as stated here the library is experimental and without support:
With the download you confirm these conditions:

The RevPiLib Codesys Library is experimental and for testing purposes only,
because this is not a finished product.
Therefore please note that we cannot offer you support for the RevPiLib Codesys Library.
Using the RevPiLib Codesys library is at your own risk.

Dear Dirk,
I have read the statement about codesys support , but I have bought many RevPI connect+ with many expansion modules for my project.
I could agree on the experimental nature of codesys support even if it is questionable, but it doesn't seem professional to provide a library but don't update it. Also because I think that like me other people have also purchased your product because it is compatible with codesys. Having said that, I need your urgent feedback on how to proceed.
Sure of your seriousness, I remain waiting for an urgent response.

Regards

Domenico
