Using RevPi with Domoticz and manage GPIO port

Post by guillaume67 »

Hello,

I discovered RevPi for 2 weeks, I'm very interested for this concept.

A2ctually I'm using a network of 15 Raspberry at my work and I would try to make my network more reliable. That's why I have bought 1 revPi with 1 module DIO for testing it.

For each of my Raspberry, I control output and receive input by using domoticz (hardware gpio port) with GPIO port. It's not very professionnal...that's why I want to improove that.
I would like to know if I can use domoticz also with RevPi and use the function GPIO to manage my output and input from Dio module?
Thank you for your answer,

Kind regards,

- Guillaume

Hi Guillaume, RevPis´ GPIO handling is different from the RaspberryPi. Have a look at the schematics here at the Downloads section.
Here is an Overview RevPi I/O modules.

Hello Dirk,
Thank you for your feedback.

I understand but I have bought this material because I have read this could be also use for home automation application (ie domoticz). In my case, it's for professionnal use. Right now, I discovered it was not really conveniant for that; I'm little bit disappointed because I know this material could be very reliable and useful.
I would like to create a reliable system, that's why I need an industrial solution. But I also would like to use popular application like domoticz because I can not waste to much time (I have to work) to create an conveniant application by myself to manage my input/output... I need something modular like domoticz.
Isn't any developpement in this direction? Maybe I could help a little bit...

Thank you for your answer
