Hi,
I am stuck with a RevPi Connect that has possibly a corrupt image on it. I am trying to flash it with a 'virgin' Stretch image.
When connecting with a HDMI cable (and not the USB) I get nothing on the screen.
When connecting with the USB to my PC, it seems to be recognised at first. See below.
Then, when I launch RpiBoot.exe - the device is no longer recognised. See below.
When connected to the USB, the RevPi has a bright green power light and a bright red A3. WD and REL show a weak green, and A1 a very faint red.
This is a brand new RevPi on which we flashed an image - but after that flashing it never came back.
I tried this both in Windows 7 and 10, with different USB ports and cables. The only difference is that Windows10 shows "Device Descriptor Request Failed" in the Device Manager.
It seems to me the RevPi is broken. Any ideas?
Kind regards
Koen
RevPi Connect - USB found but RpiBoot does not work
Re: RevPi Connect - USB found but RpiBoot does not work
Hi Koen,
The USB driver does not seems to be installed and you would have to disable driver signature.

Re: RevPi Connect - USB found but RpiBoot does not work
Thank you Amar,
I did what you said regarding the USB driver install:
1. I uninstalled RPIboot.exe
2. disabled driver signature per the link you provided
3. re-installed RPIboot.exe
Following this, I was:
1. Not able to connect to the suspected damaged RevPi
2. Able to connect correctly to a different, identical RevPi Connect
See screenshots below I really don't think it is an issue with the USB driver. Would there be any other option to connect to the RevPi?
Regards
Koen

Re: RevPi Connect - USB found but RpiBoot does not work
Hello Koen,
I suspect that RevPi module may be damaged since you are able to connect it to other identical modules. Are you following the exact procedure:
1) RevPiConnect is switched off
2) USB cable connected betweeen PC and RevPiConnect
3) Start RPIboot.exe
4) Power on RevPi Connect.
Best Regards,
Amar

Hi Amar,
I think it was damaged. The vendor seems to agree and has replaced it.
Thank you
Koen
