Stretch Password

Post by timjones »

On a Core 3, I reflashed the image with stretch, but unlike the previous image, when I boot up for the first time it doesn't launch the auto setup script. Instead I get a login/password. What is the default password for pi?

Hi, sorry but this information is currently missing in our release notes but we'll add this.
The default credentials are username: "pi" password: "raspberry".
Then after first first login the "revpi-factory-reset" script is triggered.
It sets the password and MAC address according to the given input.

Thanks! That worked.

Also, for anyone else in the US, keep in mind that the default keyboard layout is in german. Most importantly the "Y" key and "Z" key are reversed, so you need to use the z key (instead of the y) to login. Once you are logged in you can use raspy-config to update the keyboard layout to US

Hi timjones,
yes thank you for this comment about the keyboard layout. We'll also add this to the release notes / faq.
