Web interface for sw update

Post by jenskastensson »

Hello,

I'm looking for a web interface to manage the RevPI. The use case is a home automation server.

The main purpose of is to enable end users update software and to configure IP.
Secondly, but less important is to be able to see log files and system resource usage.

I've tried Webmin and it does all this and a lot more. The UI is not really adapted to end users and only a fraction of the features are useful for this use case.

Does anybody know of a lighter solution, preferably NodeJs based. I don't mind modifying and integrating an existing open source project.

Kindly
Jens

How about building your own interface with Node.Red? You could use command nodes to start any system commands for updates etc. With a little html code you can make this look very professional...

do you want to address the whole synonymous via modbus? So create your own interface with which you can control all IO / S of the PI, because you wrote Homeautomation.
