AIO Module with current sensors

Post by moethu »

Hi there,
I've got a question about how to connect current sensors correctly to AIO modules. I'm using 4..20 mA pressure sensors in particular.

I first checked the docs: https://revolutionpi.com/en/tutorials/o ... figuration from where I got the idea to wire my sensor using "input 1": wire it to ports 24 and 28 and bridge 24 and 26. This is confirmed by another doc here: https://kunbus-gmbh.atlassian.net/servi ... 1889408197

However there is a recommendation in this forum to wire current sensors to a +24V power source on + while wiring - to port 28. Then bridge 28 and 26 and wire port 24 to GND: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=912&p=3715&hilit=AIO#p3715

Can you please give me a hint on how to wire current sensors using the AIO module?
Thanks,
Max

Hello Max and welcome to the Revolution Pi community! Thank you for your detailed description of the things you are dealing with and the research and findings you have already made. Please have a look at this helpful tutorial, I think it will answer your questions:

Hi Dirk,
thanks for the link. The content is regarding sampling and reading the measurements correctly. I guess I will get to this once I got all wired correctly. Sadly my initial question about the wiring isn't addressed in there. Any ideas what the correct approach could be?
