MIO IN LED flashes red

We have purchased 4 MIO modules an connected them to 1 Connect SE and 3 Core SE. In two cases the red LED "IN" on the MIO device flashes, in the other cases not. The MIO's are not conected to something, except 24V and the bus. There are no other modules present. The MIO's are declared in Pictory in the same way.
We shipped the two non flashing devices to the customer, the both flashing ones we hold back.

One device I've shorted every single AIN Pin on against the ground, when I did this with AI5 the flashing stopped. It looks like a floating input.

Any suggestions how to deal with this? The short might be an approache for a single device, but not for a system we want to scale up. I supposeit won't be the same pin on every device..

Hello Ekkiehard, yes that is the right approach. It is a known phenomenon and there is exactly this solution for this, pull all analog inputs with a bridge to 0V. See here under FAQ:
