Dear All,
I have a question about the use of Open Source libraries in your code. How do you feel about the use of external libraries and tools, developed on Github, in your code?
As for why I ask: I come from the Java world, where building on OSS code is the norm. Libraries and dependency management are part of every project. From talking to shipyard PLC developers (I rolled into a marine project), I found that code reuse seems to be frowned upon. Or maybe that is just caused by the way I ask. That is also a possibility.
What projects from Github do you use in your Codesys and/or Twincat projects?
Do you use OSS tools in your development cycle (Docker, GIT, linting tools, automated tests)?
Do you publish any code on Github?
I realise I ask on a forum for OSS hardware. Still, I am curious to hear about code.
