PiCtory not working after Buster upgrade
PiCtory not working after Buster upgrade
Hi,
After upgrading manually to Buster (changing all repos to buster and running dist-upgrade) PiCtory does not seem to work. I am able to login to RevPi, but it shows:
"PiCtory =PiCtory= PACKAGE NOT INSTALLED"
I have tried reinstalling the pictory package, but nothing changed. There is also no pictory service running (checked systemctl).

Re: PiCtory not working after Buster upgrade
I have found the issue. Apparently, the new port is required to reach pictory, and there is no automatical rewrite from port 80 to the new port.

Hi Nosfits, Thank you very much for your investigation and your patience. Here is another explanation from "Release Notes Buster 04_2021_EN.pdf".

Re: PiCtory not working after Buster upgrade
Hi dirk, I noticed the change in the change log, but I expected that the rewrite would make pictory work in port 80 as well, like before. That does not happen though. I have switched entirely to 41080 which works fine!
Re: PiCtory not working after Buster upgrade
There should be an automatic redirect from Port 80 to the new one which didn't work for me after dist-upgrade either. It's under investigation what is missing there.
