Re: How to diagnose a short circuit?
Hi Dirk, Here's what I know so far: - We had a USB wifi dongle in the system, that's the only peripheral. No other connections other than the power. - They mentioned "When you plug the device in it will shut the machine down by taking out the power supply." - We are having the device sent ...

Re: List of Approved 3G/4G USB adapters ?
We've found the Verizon USB dongle to work very well with no configuration needed.

How to diagnose a short circuit?
We have many RevPi Core 3 devices in the field, and one of our customers reported that they 'definitely traced the 24v short to the RevPi card'. We are very motivated to diagnose the cause of this problem and find a solution. The device was most likely not grounded - could that cause this? What else...

Re: Support for resin.io
@jgentes folgendes habe ich jetzt ausprobiert: 1. RevPi mit USB verbinden. usboot.exe starten und RevPi anschalten (Strom einstecken) 2. Mit etcher Image aufspielen. 3. Nach Abschluss. Den Strom vom RevPi Core 3 trennen, USB Kabel ausstecken, Netzwerkkabel einstecken. 4. Strom anschalten und schaue...

Re: Support for resin.io
I've tried setting up a RevPi Core 3 with the "Revpoltion Pi Core 3" as selected device and "v2.26.0+rev1" as version. I tried the development image and couldn't see a shell and it didn't show up online at all. I'll try the production version next, but it would surprise me if th...

Re: Support for resin.io
@stephan (hopefully you get this, the forum doesn't have notifications turned on by default..) I tested the production version of that build the other day and found that if you don't remove the USB cable that you use to flash the device, it will never come online. Once you finish flashing it, pull o...

Re: image mac address
I can't seem to find the piSerial utility. It's somewhat confusing, because PySerial is a serial port utility, and we're talking about serial numbers. There's nothing on the web (that I can find) about a piserial command line tool. I'd like to run a command directly on the device to discover the MAC...

Re: Boot RevPI core 3 from USB
We'd like to boot to USB as well. Is there any update on whether the revPi Core 3 supports this? Seems like USB boot should be a standard feature of the platform.
Thanks,

Re: Support for resin.io
Thanks @volker, I've taken a look at Greengrass and I think it's important to point out that what AWS provides with their IOT stack is very, very different from what Resin.io provides. After reviewing AWS, here's why we are not going to use it: 1. AWS Greengrass is architected to execute AWS Lambda ...

Re: Support for resin.io
Hi @volker, for AWS Greengrass support - did you use imagebakery to modify the Greengrass Jessie download? Do you have any information for how to set this up?
Thanks
