The fact that the Gateway did not perform reliably and the approaching deadline for the project prompted me to switch to a tried and tested solution.
I would like to return the Gateway as I have no use for it outside of this specific application.

Re: DeviceNet second gateway component missing
Hey! Thanks!
I can use the Connect and DIO for other applications, so if returning only the Gateway is an option that would be great.
Please send the RMA Form to catalin@carboetalon.ro

Re: DeviceNet second gateway component missing
Updates:
Switched to the WAGO. Problems no more.
Same wiring + connected motor + cabinet light.
Switched back to a 2.5A PSU. Connection stable.
Tomorrow I'll wire up the IO's and see if everything works together.
I think I wound up with a faulty gateway.

Re: DeviceNet second gateway component missing
Hey guys, back with some updates. Managed to get the DeviceNet communication working and data is flowing in and out of the robot. That's the good part. The bad part is that the connection seems extremely sensitive. I'm using one of the outputs to drive a 24V replay that, in turn, drives a 220V conta...

Node Red MQTT set not working...ish
Hey there! Managed to setup Node Red and I'm getting the input events, but when I try to set an output via MQTT it turns on briefly then back off. I've uploaded a video of the behavior here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfN-GiTGU00 The Red Lamp (O_2) is connected directly to the input in the main...

RuntimeWarning
Hey there! I managed to get the system up and running, but every now and then I get this message in the program log window. /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/revpimodio2/helper.py:580: RuntimeWarning: cycle time of 20 ms exceeded several times - can not hold cycle time! RuntimeWarning What does this im...

Re: DeviceNet second gateway component missing
Thank you, dirk! Revpimodio is what I've been looking for! I'll start digging around and playing with it. So basically I would do a read or subscribe to the event handlers on the DIO using the names defined in Pictory and pass the info on using the IO names defined for the DeviceNet module? Simple a...

Re: DeviceNet second gateway component missing
The tutorial says: To configure the gateway component, you have to make the appropriate settings in the DeviceNet objects with the configuration software of your Device master. Does this mean I need an external device to configure the gate? Can't the configuration be done somehow from the Connect Mo...

Re: DeviceNet second gateway component missing
Great success! Unplugged everything then reconnected. Seems to work. IMG_20200904_111254.jpg My question now is how do I use the information in the Gateway tutorial to communicate to the KUKA? The module currently in use is a WAGO which communicates the digital inputs/outputs with the robot via Devi...

Re: DeviceNet second gateway component missing
I tried removing the DIO and leaving just the Connect Module and the Gateway thinking it's a PiBridge issue.
Now the NS led is flashing green.
Here's my PiCtory layout. Went through the Save As COnfig File + Reset Driver procedure.
