More RAM on RevPi
Dear all, currently, all Revolution Pi controller models have only 1GB of RAM, which is rahter small. Are there plans to - soon - increase RAM? For an application we need to have a system of nodes and a webserver run on each controller and fear, that we will be mainly limited by the RAM, thus forcin...

Re: pimodbus-master.service failed
Dear Dirk,
thank you for your reply. I guess, I will have to assess how the device fares under further usage.
Best, Robert

Re: RevPi date changes repeatedly
Dear all,
after factory reseting the devices it worked fine. I also noticed that I had to restart the service "systemd-networkd", that one had failed.
During the last two weeks, we had no more problems with the clock.
Thank you for your help

Re: pimodbus-master.service failed
Dear Amar,
I apologize for the rather st**id mistake of mine. I attached another config, it is formatted as a json, but it is just the config.rsc nicely formatted. It contains our modbus configuration (I looked into the file this time). Can you derive more from this file?
Best, Robert

Re: RevPi date changes repeatedly
Dear all, by applying the revpi factory reset and setting the hardware clock manually (hwclock) I got the clock to work again, even beyond a reboot. BUT, this feels rather manually. `timedatectl` works again and shows: Local time: Tue 2020-07-14 08:26:10 CEST Universal time: Tue 2020-07-14 06:26:10 ...

Re: RevPi date changes repeatedly
After a reboot, the clock is also resetting to a few days in the past. From just now: pi@127.0.0.1's password: Linux RevPi39763 4.19.95-rt38-v7+ #1 SMP PREEMPT RT Tue, 16 Jun 2020 13:25:43 +0200 armv7l The programs included with the Debian GNU/Linux system are free software; the exact distribution t...

RevPi date changes repeatedly
Dear all, we observed issues of our software just getting stuck or freezing without any messages. We had this repeatedly over the last few weeks and thought it to be caused by various different issues. Now, we observed that the date of the revpi itself reset repeatedly. Here an extract from /var/log...

Re: pimodbus-master.service failed
Dear Dirk,
I sincerely apologize for not writing to you earlier, I was out of the office.
Since the problem is now a few weeks past I do not have the config file from back then anymore BUT the one I attached is as close to the time then as possible. Does this help you?
Best, Robert

Re: RevPi failed to get modem status
Dear all, I apologize for the long wait, I was out of the office. I am unsure whether the problem is resolved yet. I changed the cabling and the issue reappeared BUT the message of failed to get modem status appeared too, but is not correlated in time with the problem. It actually appears a few time...

Building pictory configuration from scratch
Dear all, we are planning to upgrade our fleet soon to use a few hundred devices including Revolution Pis. Due to the way our device has to run and handle, e.g., device faults, we want to be able to change the pictory configuration (_config.rsc) to our needs. Are there any documentations or manuals ...
