Re: OS/Comm Failures

Hi ejensen, I have tried it with kernel "1:9.20220524-5.10.103+revpi1"(which is the same as it on your device, as I see it in kernel log from you) on my Compact, the problem is not reproduced. However, I put almost no load on it, and not too much operations on it. I would like to ask, 1. a...

Re: RevPi date changes repeatedly

Hello Robert, Probability the reason of the problems is that the capacitor of one device was used up, while the other is not. The RTC chip which holds the time is supplied by a super capacitor. When the capacitor is used up, the time of the device is unpredictable. From the information you provided ...

Re: New RevPi keeps restarting

Hi,

On a RevPi Connect, there is another possibility for the rebooting - the Watchdog is not feed, which can be deactivated by wiring terminals 6 and 7.
More detail can be found in https://revolution.kunbus.com/tutorials ... rect=en_US

Re: SNMP in RevPi

Hi a.alvsantos,

this maybe what you need: https://www.linuxjournal.com/content/snmp
all the commands used in this link are contained in deb-packets: snmp snmpd snmp-mibs-downloader, which can be installed with "sudo apt install snmp snmpd snmp-mibs-downloader"

Re: RevPi Connect or DIO module's red light always on

Hi Barney, from the picture of dmesg you've posted, the "write error 5; piIoComm_sendRS485Tel(PiIoStartDataExchange) failed 1" indicates that the communication over pibridge was failed. Some more check on the pibridge plug might be help to fix this problem. As the kernel log during pibridg...
