Safety instructions vary according to the severity of the hazard.
Possible danger to life
Indicates a general imminent danger to persons which may result in death or serious injury.
Property damage possible
Indicates a possible danger to property that may result in property damage and/or data loss.
Notes that are not relevant to safety, but provide additional assistance or important information.

Intended Use
The RevPi is an industrial device and was developed for use in a control cabinet. The device can only function properly and safely if:
- the information in the technical data sheet and in this documentation is observed.
- only qualified personnel work on the device.
- personal safety does not depend on the function of the device.
- the appliance is not used in potentially explosive atmospheres.
- the device is connected to an approved power supply.
- only approved cabling and accessories are used.
- the device is only used indoors.
- the device does not come into contact with aggressive media such as chemicals or oil, etc.
- the device is not subsequently processed.
- the degree of protection and protection class of the switch cabinet comply with the standards intended for the application.
- all local safety regulations are observed.
- all safety instructions are observed.
Safety Instructions
The RevPi was developed for use in a control cabinet. Observe the specifications for the intended use.
Danger to life due to electric shock
There is a risk of fatal electric shock when working on devices in the switch cabinet with 230 V mains voltage.
▷ Work in the switch cabinet may only be carried out by qualified electricians.
▷ Before carrying out any work in the switch cabinet, switch off the power supply properly.
Damage to the device due to overheating
The ambient temperature in the switch cabinet must not exceed the maximum permissible operating temperature.
▷ Keep ventilation slots clear.
▷ Observe the installation clearances.
▷ Mount the device in the intended orientation.
▷ Do not place appliances with high input power directly next to each other.
▷ Regularly remove dust and dirt from the area around the appliance.
Damage to the device due to impermissible power supply
Observe the maximum voltage supply of 28.8 V DC.
▷ Only use the supplied plug and a suitable power supply unit.
▷ Ensure correct polarity when connecting.
▷ Ensure a stable power supply.
Dismantling and Disposal
Danger to life due to electric shock
There is a risk of fatal electric shock when working on devices in the switch cabinet with 230 V mains voltage.
▷ Work in the switch cabinet may only be carried out by qualified electricians.
▷Before carrying out any work in the switch cabinet, switch off the power supply properly.
You require:
✓ A small slotted screwdriver
▷ Make sure that all devices are disconnected from their respective power supplies.
▷ Remove all shot devices.
▷ If necessary, remove the connectors on the top of the housing.
▷ Use the slotted screwdriver to loosen the locking clips on the back of the RevPi.
Waste disposal
Some RevPi devices are supplied with an integrated lithium battery. This battery has a guaranteed service life of 10 years. The lithium battery cannot be replaced by the customer. In this case, please contact customer service at: support@kunbus.com.
▷ Dispose of the device in accordance with the locally applicable regulations for waste electronic equipment.
